Responsibilities:
Michael’s responsibilities include providing technical support to research programs within the Department of Forestry & Horticulture and The Center for Vector Biology and Zoonotic Diseases. Research areas include Integrated Tick Management, Forest Health, Human-Wildlife Interaction, and Invasive Plant Control. His technical expertise includes the following areas;
- Small mammal capture, tag and release
- Tick collection, identification and analysis
- Aerial deer survey
- Camera trapping
- Herbaceous and woody plant identification
- Invasive plant control using mechanical and chemical methods
- Greenhouse and field production and management
