Peperomia (Peperomia)
Plant Health Problems
See Houseplants for a detailed discussion of other occasional problems that may occur on peperomia.
Diseases caused by Physiological/Environmental Factors:
Corky scab or oedema, physiological.
Raised, scab-like swellings appear on the undersides of the leaves. These first appear as water-soaked blisters and may turn rust-colored with age. This condition is often associated with overwatering, especially during periods of cloudy, cool weather.
This problem can be minimized by careful attention to moisture levels in the potting mix, especially during cloudy weather.
