Antique Clocks and Household Gadgets

Did you know there was a time when Connecticut was the clock capital of the United States!?  Visit the Osborne Homestead Museum on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 1pm for a special clocks and gadgets tour.   Learn the history of Connecticut clock makers and of the antique clocks in the Osborne Homestead Museum collection.  Explore the realm of late 19th and early 20th century gadgetry by viewing the unique implements the Osbornes and Kelloggs used in their daily lives and brought out when entertaining guests. 

This program is free and suitable for all ages.  For additional information call (203) 734-2513 or email donna.kingston@ct.gov.  The Osborne Homestead Museum, a facility of the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, is open for free guided tours on Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  It is located at 500 Hawthorne Avenue off of Rte. 34 in Derby.
