State EnCon Police Release Names of Parties Involved in Boating Accident, Investigation Continues

On October 19, 2019, at around 3:45 p.m., Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Environmental Conservation (EnCon) Police responded to a reported boating accident on Amston Lake in the Town of Hebron. Connecticut State Police Troop K, Hebron Fire Department, Lebanon Fire Department, and Windham Hospital Paramedics also responded. Several victims were transported to area hospitals.

The following parties were involved in the accident: Nabiha Syed, 19-year-old female, of Elmont, NY, currently admitted to Hartford Hospital; Roshaan Siddiqui, an 18-year-old male, of Chicago, IL, currently admitted to Hartford Hospital; Zainab Mubalsher, a 19-year-old female, of Aldie, VA, treated at Middlesex Marlborough Clinic and released on October 19; and Nadya Jaunbocus, a 19-year-old female, of Port Louis, Maritius, refused medical attention.

The accident is currently under investigation by the Connecticut State Environmental Conservation Police. No further information is available at this time.
