Multi-Use Trail Surface Study
This Multi-Use Trail Surface Study was conducted by the Connecticut Equine Advisory Council (EAC).   Statewide research and interviews were completed in 2013 and the study document was completed in 2014.  The goals of the study were to determine the following:
  1. Project cost and general installation requirements for various surface materials
  2. Maintenance requirements for various surfaces
  3. Environmental impacts observed
  4. Suitability for multiple user groups
You are encouraged to share this study with town officials and organizations that do trail maintenance and development.  The EAC Members are available to present the information to interested groups upon request.  Contact Laurie Giannotti to set up a presentation.
