DMV New Residents Day on September 28 – Appointment Only
On Monday, September 28, 2020, the state Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will host a special day to offer its services only to customers who are new to Connecticut and need to transfer their driver license, ID card and/or vehicle registration to Connecticut.
Appointments are required and must be made online. Services will be offered at DMV’s Bridgeport, Hamden, Norwalk, Waterbury and Wetherfield offices only.
Required Documents to Bring:
Vehicle Registration | License
Please note:
- One appointment per customer. One customer may transfer driver license/ID and vehicle registration with one appointment. For example, family members are required to make separate appointments to transfer a license or ID.
- These appointments are for your driver license/ID and vehicle(s) already registered to you – not to change ownership. For example, a customer who already has a Connecticut driver license/ID who purchased a vehicle out of state cannot use this appointment to register their vehicle.
- If you have an existing appointment with CT DMV, please cancel your previously scheduled appointment before scheduling an appointment for Monday, September 21.
