Survey of Electronic Credit Union Services
The Connecticut Department of Banking conducted a year-end 2010 survey of electronic banking activities at state-chartered credit unions. We are pleased to report a 100% response rate.
Results of the surveys for credit unions are reported in the link below. As with prior surveys, individual credit union responses are summarized to protect competitive and proprietary information.

Executive Summary:

Credit unions websites are highly utilized for loan activity with 60% of credit unions providing loan application download and nearly 60% providing loan history information.

Telephone banking remains an important delivery option with over 40% of credit unions providing telephone banking as an option.

Mobile banking applications are available in only 10% of credit unions. The level is expected to double in the next year.

Use of social media is currently limited with less than 10% of credit unions reporting a social media presence.
