Nighttime Bridge Repairs on I-95 in Bridgeport

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime repairs will be performed on two bridges on I-95 southbound in Bridgeport beginning August 7, 2013.

      The bridge work consists of bridge joint replacement on the bridges listed below.  This work is scheduled to occur Wednesday August 7, 2013 through Friday, August 30, 2013.

·         Bridgeport – Bridge #00113 over Route 127 (East Main Street)

·         Bridgeport – Bridge #00115A over Route 130 & Yellow Mill Channel

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 Southbound between Exit 25 (Route 130) and Exit 30 (Surf Avenue) Bridgeport.

      Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday through Thursday evenings).

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
