DRS Reminds Taxpayers of June 1 Deadline: Filing and Payment Due Date for Sales and Room Occupancy Tax
(Hartford, CT) - The Connecticut Department of Revenue Services (DRS) is reminding taxpayers, including small businesses, that the following returns and payments are due Monday, June 1, 2020:
- Sales Tax and Room Occupancy Tax returns for the month of April 2020.
- Sales Tax and Room Occupancy Tax returns for the month of February, and the month of March 2020, for those taxpayers who qualified for an automatic extension of time to file and pay related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Quarterly Sales Tax and Room Occupancy Tax filers with returns and payments for the quarter ending March 31, 2020, for those taxpayers who qualified for an automatic extension of time to file and pay related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Connecticut Sales Tax and Room Occupancy Tax are trust taxes that are collected on behalf of the State of Connecticut. Taxpayers must file their returns and pay the associated taxes electronically through the DRS Taxpayer Service Center at https://portal.ct.gov/DRS/TSC/TSC-Online.
