TUESDAY: GOV. MALLOY CONTINUES JOBS TOUR; VISITS NORTHWEST CT CHAMBER AND LITCHFIELD HILLS B&B ASSOCIATION

(HARTFORD, CT) - Continuing on his Jobs Tour, on Tuesday morning Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Department of Economic & Community Development Commissioner Catherine Smith will meet with member companies of Northwest Connecticut's Chamber of Commerce in Torrington for a roundtable discussion concerning competitiveness issues and ways to strengthen the business climate in the region.

On Tuesday afternoon, Governor Malloy and Commissioner Smith will meet with members of the Litchfield Hills Bed and Breakfast Association in Southbury. The Association is comprised of nine lodging properties located in Connecticut's northwest corner whose objective is to share best operating practices, engage in joint marketing prospects, and pursue joint purchasing opportunities. The tourism industry is one of the top five producers of jobs in the State of Connecticut.
