FRIDAY: GOV. MALLOY HOLDS NEWS CONFERENCE IN HAMDEN TO DISCUSS PROPOSED EXPANSION OF UNIVERSAL PRE-K
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Friday at noon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a news conference in Hamden to discuss the proposal he announced during the State of the State speech on Thursday to expand statewide access for universal pre-kindergarten. He will be joined by Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman, Speaker of the House Brendan Sharkey, Office of Early Childhood Executive Director Myra Jones-Taylor, Education Commissioner Stefan Pryor, Mayor Scott Jackson, David Nee of the Graustein Memorial Fund, Merrill Gay of the Connecticut Early Childhood Alliance, state legislators, and other advocates.
