WEDNESDAY: GOV. MALLOY HOLDS NEWS CONFERENCE ON PROPOSED INVESTMENTS IN STATE'S HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM; SPEAKS AT SOUTHINGTON ROTARY CLUB MEETING

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Wednesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a news conference in Manchester to discuss his proposed launch of "Transform CSCU 2020." The initiative, which the Governor announced last week in his State of the State address, will provide an initial investment of more than $134 million to help bring all 17 campuses of Connecticut's state university and college system into a single, student-centered, technology rich-system. He will be joined by Board of Regents Vice Chair Yvette Meléndez, Board of Regents President Dr. Gregory W. Gray, Manchester Community College President Dr. Gena Glickman, students, business leaders, faculty, and state lawmakers.

In the afternoon, Governor Malloy will speak at a meeting of the Southington Rotary Club.
