GOV. MALLOY: ELECTION TO FILL VACANCY FOR PROBATE JUDGE IN EAST HARTFORD TO BE HELD THIS FALL
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that an election to fill a vacancy for Judge of Probate for the East Hartford Probate District will be held during the next general election on Tuesday, November 4, 2014.
The seat became vacant on December 31, 2013, upon the resignation of Probate Judge Allan Driscoll.
Under state law, upon a vacancy for Judge of Probate, the Governor is required to issue a Writ of Election and select a date. Governor Malloy is filing the writ with the East Hartford Town Clerk's Office today.
