THURSDAY: GOV. MALLOY HOLDS EVENT IN BLOOMFIELD ON HIS PLAN TO INCREASE ACCESS TO UNIVERSAL PRE-K; HOLDS COMMUNITY FORUM IN MERIDEN
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold an event at Faith Congregational Church in Bloomfield to discuss
his plan to achieve
universal access to pre-kindergarten in Connecticut. He will be joined by Office of Early Childhood Executive Director Myra Jones-Taylor, Bloomfield Mayor Sydney Schulman, Bloomfield Superintendent James Thompson, and other state and local leaders. His visit will highlight the important learning experiences provided for children in high-quality early learning settings. The universal pre-K legislation the Governor introduced is one of his top priorities this legislative session.
In the evening, Governor Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman will hold a
community forum
in Meriden, where they will speak with members of the public about their agenda for Connecticut's future. This will be the third event in this year's series of gubernatorial community forums.
