GOV. MALLOY'S COMMON CORE TASKFORCE TO MEET ON WEDNESDAY IN CROMWELL
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the Educators' Common Core Implementation Taskforce is scheduled to
hold its second meeting
on Wednesday, April 9, at Cromwell High School, located at 1 Donald Harris Drive in Cromwell. The meeting will begin at 4:30 p.m. and will be held in library.
Governor Malloy created the taskforce by executive order to identify challenges and gaps in Common Core preparation, and make recommendations on improving the quality and consistency of its implementation. The taskforce is comprised of 25 members, including 11 teachers, four principals, four superintendents or district curriculum leaders, two parents, two local board of education members, one school counselor and the Chief Academic Officer of the Department of Education. It held its first meeting last month on March 25 at offices of the State Department of Education in Middletown.
