FRIDAY: GOV. MALLOY PARTICIPATES IN GROUNDBREAKINGS IN WEST HARTFORD & NEW LONDON
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Friday at noon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will participate in a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Center for Applied Research and Education at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford. The facility will allow the school to expand its education programs and serve even more young children with intellectual and other disabilities.
Later, Governor Malloy will participate in the groundbreaking and deed transfer ceremony for the National Coast Guard Museum in New London. In February, Governor Malloy announced plans to commit up to $20 million in state funding to supplement the development and construction of the project. Once complete, Connecticut will be home to the first-ever national museum dedicated to the U.S. Coast Guard, which is estimated to attract over 500,000 visitors per year.
