MONDAY: GOV. MALLOY VISITS TURNAROUND SCHOOL IN EAST HARTFORD; ATTENDS EVENT IN NEW BRITAIN

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Monday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will participate in the groundbreaking ceremony of the new expansion project at the New Britain Museum of American Art.

At noon, Governor Malloy, following news that Connecticut high school seniors are among the top in the nation in math and reading, will visit Robert J. O'Brien STEM Academy in East Hartford, a school that last week was approved to join the Commissioner's Network - the state's lead initiative to turn around the most chronically low-performing schools in the state. The visit will give him an opportunity to speak with the school's teachers, administrators and students.
