TUESDAY: GOV. MALLOY COMMEMORATES PASSAGE OF NEW LAW STRENGTHENING SEXUAL ASSAULT PREVENTION AND RESPONSE ON COLLEGE CAMPUSES
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a ceremony at the offices of Connecticut Sexual Assault Crisis Services, Inc. (CONNSACS) in East Hartford to commemorate the adoption of a new law (
Public Act 14-11
) that strengthens sexual assault prevention and response procedures at institutions of higher learning in Connecticut. He will be joined by Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman, the General Assembly's Higher Education and Employment Advancement Committee co-chairs State Senator Steve Cassano and State Representative Roberta Willis, CONNSACS Executive Director Laura Cordes, and other lawmakers, state officials and advocates.
