FRIDAY: GOV. MALLOY RELEASES REPORT ON CLIMATE CHANGE IN CONNECTICUT
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Friday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a news conference to release a report drafted by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) outlining the progress Connecticut has been making to systemically reduce emissions of greenhouse gases that are dangerously disrupting the global climate system. The report was required under Connecticut's 2008 Global Warming Solutions Act.
The Governor will be joined at the event by DEEP Commissioner Rob Klee and other state officials. The announcement is being made in Hartford at Crest Mechanical Services - a company that has utilized a state renewable energy program to make energy efficiency upgrades at its facilities.
