SATURDAY: GOV. MALLOY PARTICIPATES IN 100TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF HARTFORD'S BUSHNELL PARK CAROUSEL; VISITS DINOSAUR STATE PARK DURING 'FREE STATE PARKS WEEKEND'

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Saturday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join officials and residents from the City of Hartford at an event to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Bushnell Park Carousel. The celebration will include fun family activities and free carousel rides all day Saturday.

In the afternoon, Governor Malloy will visit Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill and greet visitors who are taking advantage of the state's "Free State Parks Weekend." Parking and museum fees are being waived at all Connecticut state parks this weekend as part of the state's ongoing celebration of the state parks centennial. The Governor will be joined at the state park by Rob Klee, Commissioner of the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, the agency that oversees the state park system.
