MONDAY: GOV. MALLOY COMMEMORATES PASSAGE OF CONNECTICUT'S NEW FRACKING LAW IN EAST HAVEN
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Monday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a ceremony at Farm River State Park in East Haven to commemorate the enactment of a new state law designed to protect Connecticut from out-of-state fracking waste. He will be joined by state officials, lawmakers, and environmental advocates. The legislation is Public Act 14-200, An Act Prohibiting the Storage or Disposal of Fracking Waste in Connecticut.

Directions
: Enter the park through the Mansfield Grove Road entrance. From Interstate 95 going north, take Exit 51 (East Haven); at second stop light, turn right (south) onto Route 142 (Hemingway Avenue). At third stoplight, turn left (east) onto Short Beach Road. Follow for 1.4 miles to Mansfield Grove Road (flashing yellow light). Turn right (south) on Mansfield Grove Road and travel for two-thirds mile to gravel parking area on left (east). This is an unmarked road, but by GPS, it is adjacent to 141 Mansfield Grove Road.
