THURSDAY: GOV. MALLOY HOLDS NEWS CONFERENCE ON JOB GROWTH; SPEAKS WITH STATE'S INSURANCE INDUSTRY

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will attend the Connecticut Insurance and Financial Services Cluster's annual "Connecticut Insurance Market Forecast Convention" in Hartford, where he will speak with leaders from throughout the state's insurance industry.

Following that, Governor Malloy will hold a news conference in Hartford to provide an update on the state's Subsidized Training and Employment Program, known as " Step Up ." The initiative, enacted in 2012, helps small businesses in Connecticut create new jobs and hire unemployed job seekers by assisting with workforce training. During the news conference he will also discuss the state's monthly jobs report, which is scheduled to be released Thursday at 11:00 a.m.
