Thursday: Gov. Malloy Highlights Transportation and Development Upgrades in Old Saybrook; Attends Events in Darien and Woodbridge
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a news conference at the Old Saybrook train station to highlight transportation upgrades and development in the surrounding area, boosting the local economy and improving quality of life. He will be joined by Department of Transportation Commissioner James P. Redeker and other state and local officials.
In the afternoon, Governor Malloy will make remarks at the Fairfield County Bar Association's annual Law Day Luncheon.
Later, Governor Malloy will participate in the Town of Woodbridge's ceremony dedicating a new Public Works building to the late Ed Sheehy, who provided 30 years of services to the local area, including four terms as First Selectman. Also participating will be Woodbridge First Selectman Ellen Scalettar, State Senator Joe Crisco, the family of Ed Sheehy, and other local officials.
