Monday: Gov. Malloy Promotes New England Regional Highway Safety Initiative; Meets with Business Executives to Discuss Importance of Upgrading State's Transportation System
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Monday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join highway safety officials and State Police from all six New England states for a news conference in Windsor to launch the region's first-ever coordinated enforcement mobilization aimed at reducing speed-related crashes, injuries and fatalities, which will be launched immediately following the announcement. Vehicles used in the enforcement mobilization will be on display.
In the afternoon, Governor Malloy will visit the offices of the Travelers insurance company in Hartford for a discussion with the company's executives and staff on the intersection between upgrading Connecticut's transportation system and the state's future economic growth.
