Gov. Malloy: Flags Lowered to Half-Staff in Honor of the Victims of the Tragedy in Roseburg, Oregon
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that - in accordance with a proclamation from President Barack Obama to lower flags - U.S. and state flags in Connecticut will fly at half-staff beginning immediately until sunset on Tuesday, October 6, to honor the victims of the shooting in Roseburg, Oregon.
The lowering of flags in honor of the victims of the Oregon tragedy will this year coincide with Sunday's National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service, in honor of which flags would normally be lowered on that date.
