Gov. Malloy & Lt. Gov. Wyman Statements on the Passing of Former PURA Chairman and State Representative Kevin DelGobbo
(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman released the following statements regarding the passing of Kevin DelGobbo, who until 2012 served as Chairman of the state’s Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) and for 12 years served as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives for the 70th Assembly District of Naugatuck:
Governor Malloy said, “Kevin dedicated his career toward public service with a particular commitment toward charting sound energy policy for the state. I am especially grateful for his service as Chairman of PURA when, following a series of devastating storms that impacted our region, he helped craft policy that is improving utility service and reliability for Connecticut's residents. As a legislator, Kevin was a deliberative and thoughtful policymaker who always worked towards the best for all of Connecticut’s citizens – an example to all. I send my deepest condolences to his friends and family.”
Lt. Governor Wyman said, “In all of his roles on the state and local level, Kevin worked hard for the people of Connecticut. He was diligent about the issues, because his priority was the people who were impacted by them. I join the state in being saddened by his loss. His family and friends are in our thoughts during this very difficult time.”
