How we help improve our justice system

The Criminal Justice Policy and Planning Division (CJPPD) reviews Connecticut’s criminal justice system. This Division uses that information to help strengthen our criminal justice system and improve policies. At CJPPD we:

  • Look at what the system will need in the future and plan accordingly
  • Make suggestions on the most important areas and policies to focus on
  • Help the Governor and lawmakers create plans, programs, and rules
