funds effectively allowed renovation and expansion project of Family &
Children’s Aid Waterbury Child Guidance Clinic to continue. The need for
services in the area had almost doubled in the couple of years since the
clinic’s opening, so it was essential to expand the waiting room and the
clinical offices in order to effectively provide the access to care and quality
care. The funding allowed for the waiting room to be expanded by 50% capacity
and to finish the 77% increase in clinical offices, in addition to the
installing a 30kw generator that now prevents disruption in treatment even
through outage. The project has greatly increased our capacity in addition to
meeting the growing needs of the community.
