Investment Policy Statement

The Investment Policy Statement (IPS) sets forth the general standards that govern the investments of the State of Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Funds (CRPTF) as established by the Treasurer of the State of Connecticut and as approved by the Investment Advisory Council (IAC), in accordance with the provisions of Section 3-13b(c) of the Connecticut General Statutes.

In 2019, Treasurer Shawn T, Wooden and the IAC performed a thorough assessment of the asset allocation and the liabilities for each of the pension plans and trust funds. As a result of this review, the IPS was updated on May 8, 2019.

Subsequently, in January 2020, the asset allocation and other elements of the IPS were updated. On February 19, 2020, the IAC approved the Treasurer's adopted IPS.
