Conditional Release Program
The Conditional Release Program of the Psychiatric Security Review Board (Board) is responsible to oversee the monitoring, supervision and treatment of acquittees living in the community. When an acquittee is deemed to no longer require hospitalization, the Board can order Conditional Release. The Board sets conditions under which an acquittee can remain in the community, including treatment and supervision requirements.
The Board provides ongoing training and consultation to community agencies and other staff who provide services to acquittees on Conditional Release status. The Board works closely with the Office of Adult Probation to ensure effective communication and collaboration with community providers.
