The Connecticut Coalition of Taft-Hartley Health Funds
Bob is the Executive Director of the Connecticut Coalition of Taft-Hartley Health Funds. He served previously as the President of the Coalition for eight years. The CT Coalition is made up of fifteen labor-management, jointly administered employee benefit Funds providing comprehensive health and medical benefits to participating union members and their families (approximately 65,000 covered lives).
Bob was previously the administrator for the New England Health Care Employees Welfare and Pension Funds from 2000 through 2007 and served in a similar capacity for the Connecticut Carpenters Health, Pension, Annuity, and Apprentice Training Funds from 1995 to 2000. In the early 1990s, he served as legislative aide, legislative director and deputy commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Labor under Governor Lowell P. Weicker, Jr. Prior to that, he was the Political Action Director of the New England Health Care Employees Union, District 1199, SEIU. Bob has served on numerous boards and commissions and currently is the President of the National Labor Alliance of Health Care Coalitions (NLAHCC). The NLAHCC is comprised of twenty-three labor health Coalitions extending from Atlantic Canada to Alaska, and represents more than 10 million covered lives. Bob was recently appointed by Speaker of the House of Representatives Donovan to serve as a member of the Connecticut Health Exchange Board.
