LT GOVERNOR TO ADDRESS STUDENT INVENTORS
AT CAPITOL PRESS CONFERENCE
Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman will join Gov. Dannel Malloy, House Speaker Christopher Donovan and other officials from government, education and business Wednesday in addressing more than 170 student inventors competing in the 28 th annual Connecticut Invention Convention.
The students will be exhibiting their inventions Wednesday throughout the Capitol and Legislative Office Building, and will also attend a press conference scheduled for 10:45 a.m. in the 2 nd Floor Atrium of the LOB.
The grade 3-8 students from 17 state schools are part of a statewide group of 700 students competing at the invention convention, which will conclude with the "finals" on May 14 at the University of Connecticut.
The convention is designed to encourage creative thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as interest in math, science and engineering.
