LT. GOVERNOR WYMAN NAMED TO NATIONAL POLICY COMMITTEE
OF NATIONAL LIEUTENANT GOVERNORS ASSOCIATION
Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman has been named to serve on a national policy committee for the National Lieutenant Governors Association (NLGA) - the professional association providing support, research and training for Lieutenant Governors in all 50 states.
Lt. Gov. Wyman will serve as a member of the Police Resolutions Committee, which twice-yearly hears testimony on policy issue briefings submitted by NLGA members. The policy issues are then reviewed for endorsement by all association members.
"These policy statements are used to promote legislative activity in the states and in Congress," Wyman said. "I am looking forward to representing the interests of the people of Connecticut in this significant national bi-partisan role."
Wyman was appointed by Massachusetts Lt. Gov. Tim Murray, Chairman of the NLGA. Wyman also serves as the East Region At-Large member of the Executive Committee.
