WEDNESDAY: GOV. MALLOY PARTICIPATES IN NEW YORK OBSERVER BREAKFAST FORUM;
HIGHLIGHTS BENEFITS OF 'NEXT GENERATION CONNECTICUT'
AT UCONN STAMFORD CAMPUS
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Wednesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will be the featured participant at a breakfast forum hosted by the New York Observer to discuss the effect of Storm Sandy on Connecticut and the region, as well as on other issues.
In the afternoon, Governor Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman will hold a news conference at the University of Connecticut's Stamford campus, where they will discuss the economic development benefits of Governor Malloy's " Next Generation Connecticut " proposal . The proposal calls for a major expansion of the university in order to make Connecticut competitive and grow jobs by ensuring that the state has the skilled workforce that employers need.
Following the news conference, Governor Malloy and Lt. Governor Wyman will host a town hall discussion with students, faculty, and members of the general public on the proposal.
