The long-term objective of the unit is to increase transparency around state and federal spending and to improve the way we use data in policy making. Connecticut residents need to know how these funds are being used and whether federal investments are benefitting their communities. By focusing on research and evaluation, this new unit will work with agencies to amplify the impact of the important work funded by SLFRF. This unit will provide accountability for these funds by establishing regular reporting and communicating evaluation results. Ultimately, the Eval and Impact Unit is responsible for telling the story of these funds, who they helped and whether the residents of our state are better off.
