Be a Arts Day Sketch Artist
Do you love to draw and/or sketch? If yes, please consider being one of our sketch artists at Arts Day @ the Capitol 2020! Arts Day @ the Capitol 2020 will be held at the Connecticut State Capitol in Hartford on Wednesday, April 8. The event is designed to engage and unify the arts community and to celebrate the arts across Connecticut. It is an opportunity for attendees to share with lawmakers how the arts have impacted their lives.
Arts Day participants will have the opportunity to sit with a sketch artist to capture, in a drawing, what they love about their community. Sketch artists will work with individuals to create a personalized sketch as a commemorative take-away from Arts Day. Please see samples below.
All skill levels are encouraged to apply. Artists will be required to interact with the public, including elected officials. Sketch artists will be supplied with paper, approximately 5x7 in size, which will have a pre-drawn outline of the State of Connecticut. Artists must bring their own drawing supplies. Artists must reside in Connecticut.

- Two (2) samples of your sketch/drawing work
- Pricing for a 4-hour session (10 AM – 2 PM)
