Long Island Sound Blue Plan
Resource and Use Inventory
The Resource and Use Inventory for the Long Island Sound Blue Plan has been under development for over two years and contains 12 ecological and 13 human use chapters in its 294 pages. It provides information on the current state of the Sound’s natural resources and human uses, based on all existing data available to the Planning Team, and it is the first step of the Blue Plan development process. The Inventory was used as the basis for drafting the Blue Plan, which will work to minimize future conflicts between the Sound's resources and uses. The success of the Blue Plan depends on the involvement of the general public and all stakeholders to ensure the Plan reflects the knowledge, perspectives, and needs of everyone whose lives are touched by Long Island Sound.
