Overview

The DEMHS Advisory Council acts as the DEMHS Advisory Board authorized by Connecticut General Statutes 4-8. The authority of this Council is further derived from Title 28 and Title 29 of the Connecticut General Statutes. The mission of this council is to protect the people and property in the State of Connecticut from all types of natural and human-made disasters, fostering regional collaboration and mutual aid  through research, collaborative plan development, resource and information sharing , and coordination.
