Overview

The Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) is an annual Hazard Mitigation Grant Program that provides funds for projects which reduce the overall risk to population and structures from future hazard events, while also reducing the reliance on federal funding from future disasters.  PDM is a nation-wide competitive program.

Eligible Federal Activities include:

• Mitigation Planning
• Stormwater management
• Aquisitions

 

Key Requirements:

• Sub-applicants must have a FEMA approved mitigation plan in place to be eligible to apply for PDM project funding (this requirement is not for planning applicaitons).
