FY 2018 Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) and Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) Funding Opportunity Announced
Applications Must Be Submitted Online by October 17, 2018
The Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security is pleased to announce the release of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2018, Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) and Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) program application. This program funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), enables municipalities, private-non profit partners and state government entities to apply for eligible projects through the Division of Emergency Engagement and Homeland Security's Hazard Mitigation Unit.
Period of Performance:
Sub-applications must be received by the State via the FEMA e-grants system no later than 3pm on October 17, 2018. Paper or email applications cannot be accepted. All Sub-Applicants applying for FMA or PDM project funding must have a FEMA approved local hazard mitigation plan in place to be eligible to apply. This requirement does not apply for applications to update a local natural hazard mitigation plan.

Eligible applicants must apply for funding through the Mitigation e-Grants system on the FEMA Grants Portal, accessible at https://portal.fema.gov Applications for funding are reviewed on a nationally competitive basis. There are limited funds available for these programs. Applications whose main focus is in line with the highest Federal priorities have the most chance of being selected for further review.
