Unemployment Board of Review
When the board receives your request, they will review all of the materials already given to the referee and listen to the recording of your hearing. If the board feels more information is needed, it may conduct its own hearing or send the case back to the referee for a new hearing. The board will issue a final decision to agree, reverse, or modify the referee’s decision.
If you disagree with their decision, you may:
- File a request to ‘reopen” their decision using this form or by sending a letter to the Board of Review by mail or fax.
- Appeal their decision to the Connecticut Superior Court. You must file your appeal to the court within 30 days of the decision mailing date. To file this appeal, please carefully follow the instructions in the board’s decision letter.
