Ethics Training
The Office of State Ethics offers training on the Codes of Ethics for public officials, state employees, lobbyists, state contractors, and other interested groups.
Original Ethics 101 Online Course Revised June 2019
Our Original “Ethics 101” for public officials and state employees course has been updated and will serve to familiarize you with Connecticut’s Office of State Ethics and the ethics laws to which you are subject.
Throughout the course you will be asked a series of ungraded knowledge check questions regarding the course material. When you answer the questions correctly, you will advance to the next section. At the end of the course, you must pass a final assessment with a minimum score of 80% to demonstrate competency of the material.
This training takes approximately 30 – 40 minutes to complete, depending on the speed of each individual learner.
You may take this course on any device: phone, laptop, tablet and pc.

Our newly designed e-learning environment will capture compelling visual experiences that will utilize videos, web interfaces and resources that are self-guided and contain tutorials, documents and instructions.
Access to short training modules--customized for specific positions and covering a wide range of ethics topics and different sections of the Code of Ethics will be available directly from our website using any device.
Our modules will eliminate redundancy and provide relevant courses to meet annual training requirements.

Course Description:
The Code of Ethics tells public officials and state employees what they should do in challenging situations. Learn how the Code of Ethics directs how we conduct ourselves as professionals. We will discuss the top ten ethics rules and when the rules apply. Even if it is right to do, should you?
