Connecticut Vaccine Program (CVP)
The Connecticut Vaccine Program (CVP) is Connecticut’s expanded pediatric vaccination program. The program is state and federally funded and provides vaccines at no cost to children under the age of 19 years. The CVP was developed in response to CGS Sec. 19a-7f, which requires healthcare providers who administer pediatric vaccines to obtain the vaccines through the Department of Public Health in most cases. The CVP now includes all Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommended vaccines for children aged 18 and younger with the exception of HPV vaccine for children aged 13 and older.
