MIF 2022 annual report cover

Manufacturing Innovation Fund (MIF)

The State of Connecticut established the MIF to support the growth, innovation, and progress of the advanced manufacturing sector. This funding is administered by the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) to provide grants and support an array of initiatives, including:

  • Funding to keep pace with state-of-the-art product development and manufacturing technology
  • Programs that recruit, retain, and train a highly-skilled workforce
  • Vouchers that assist business development and technical needs

To succeed in today’s marketplace, manufacturers need access to financial resources, technical expertise, and skilled workers — all of which the MIF facilitates by funding well-designed programs administered by leading organizations.
