Eligibility and Application Information

Each year the Office of Policy and Management (OPM) submits an application on behalf of the state units of government.  Each year OPM makes these units of state government aware of this potential funding source in an e-mail solicitation on how to apply.  Funding is not guaranteed and jurisdictions under 100,000 are given priority funding.  Applicants will be contacted by OPM if funding was awarded.

In Connecticut, federally recognized tribes, cities and local jurisdictions are contacted directly by the Bulletproof Vest Partnership with an invitation to apply.  If you are a member of one entities you may call the BVP Help Desk at 1-877-758-3787 or e-mail vests@usdoj.gov, if you have any questions.
