There are many available resources for State Administering Agencies or for sub recipients.
The Office on Violence Against Women has many grant programs that work to strengthen services to victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Please visit their website for more information on the STOP grant as well as other OVW grant programs.
The Alliance of Local Service Organizations (ALSO) is the Technical Assistance service provider for the STOP grant. In addition to reaching out to OPM, sub grantees are encouraged to reach out to ALSO for support and technical assistance.
The Association of VAWA Administrators (AVA) works to encourage and facilitate mutual support, awareness and cooperation among states and territories administering Violence Against Women Act formula grants and to provide a centralized voice for the advancement of improvements to enhance the effectiveness of VAWA administration. AVA also supports State Administering Agencies in technical assistance questions that they may have.
In addition to being governed by federal grant regulations, OVW grantees are required as a condition of all awards to comply with the financial and administrative requirements contained in the Department of Justice Financial Guide. the current version of the guide was issued in December 2018 and is available online.
