The Office of Policy and Management continues to play a role in the development of Adriaen’s Landing, a mixed-use economic development project in downtown Hartford.  Completed project components include the Connecticut Convention Center, the Connecticut Science Center, Marriott Hartford Downtown and related parking garages.  Along with the quasi-public Capital Region Development Authority and HB Nitkin, the State’s private development partner, OPM is now working to develop Front Street, an entertainment/residential district within Adriaen’s Landing. Construction of Phase I, including 70,000 square feet of entertainment and restaurant space, has been completed and the district’s first tenant, Spotlight Theatres, opened its doors in the fall of 2012.  Additional tenants, including Infinity Music Hall and Bistro, are expected in the coming months. Preliminary design work has also begun on Phase II, which will consist of approximately 115 market rate housing units and up to 27,500 square feet of retail and entertainment space.

OPM also owns and oversees operation of the Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford.  This 40,000-seat open air sports and entertainment facility hosts a variety of sports and entertainment events throughout the year and serves as home field for the University of Connecticut (UConn) Husky football team.
