Overview
The GED® Test is now offered only on computer. Previous scores from the paper based 2002 GED® test expired on December 31, 2013.
What you need to know the Day of the Test
You will receive a 10-minute scheduled break between each module. Unscheduled breaks are not allowed and your results may be deemed invalid (you would have to retake the test).
Connecticut requires you to be a resident of the state to test. You MUST bring one of the following VALID forms of Connecticut identification with you on the day of testing or you will NOT be eligible to test:
- Driver's Permit,
- Driver's License,
- Connecticut Identification Card or
- Passport.
The identification must include your LEGAL name, date of birth, photo and signature.
You will be given an erasable noteboard and access to an on-screen calculator for certain subjects. Cell phones are strictly forbidden in the testing room. If you are found with a cell phone during testing, you will be escorted out and your test will not be scored.
Other personal items (such as handbags, backpacks, wallets, keys, etc.) are not allowed in the testing room. Storage is available, but limited.
