Preface

The role of big business and labor unions has been critical in the economic history of the United States. This document is designed to give you information, lesson ideas and resources to assist students in understanding the actions of labor unions and business in Connecticut during the last 150 years.  There is probably information in this document of which Connecticut’s students are not aware; hopefully, these documents and sources will allow you to teach the “Connecticut story” in the context of larger national themes during this era.
