Question 1: How many pharmacy intern hours do you need to obtain in order to become licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Connecticut?
Answer: You are required to obtain 1500 pharmacy intern hours to be licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Connecticut.
Question 2: Where will you accept my 1,500 pharmacy intern hours from?
Answer: Your 1,500 pharmacy intern hours can come exclusively from the school in which you are/were enrolled, exclusively from an externship at a state licensed pharmacy (any state), or a combination of the two.
Answer: The pharmacy intern hours must be reported directly to the Connecticut Commission of Pharmacy by the School of Pharmacy you attend(ed) or directly from the State Board of Pharmacy where you obtained those hours.

Question 6: What forms of payment does the State of Connecticut accept for a Pharmacist License?
Answer: The State of Connecticut will accept cash, check or money order (made payable to "Treasurer, State of Connecticut"). Do not send cash by mail. Payments by credit card are not accepted at this time.
Answer: Your application for a pharmacist license will remain valid for one year from the date received by the Department of Consumer Protection. The pharmacist license application and the authorization to test (ATT) from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) will expire simultaneously regardless of when you apply for either.
